If you are looking for a reason to love Kansas, I would definitely recommend enjoying a Kansas sunrise and sunset. I prefer the sunset over a sunrise due to the timing, but they both are quite gorgeous.
We were supposed to enjoy an evening watching my niece play softball, but Mother Nature had a different plan. The game was rained out and had to be rescheduled, but a little before 9 my mom sent me a text telling me to get my camera and look North! So like any good daughter, I did just that :)
Here was my view of the Kansas sky last night a little after 9 pm from my backyard.
There was so much lightning, it was ridiculous. Lightning is not something that I have ever photographed, but I was glad to catch a couple bolts. Might have to do some research and practice a little more!
