Kim and Brent--Engaged!

I had the pleasure to meet Brent and Kim yesterday at the Kansas State University Gardens to take some engagement pictures! I had been watching the weather all week, it called for rain sometimes and partly cloudy the other days I checked...well we ended up with the rain, it was misting the whole time we took pictures. It was a first for me...taking pictures in the rain and they were great sports about it. They are absolutely gorgeous and so cute together. Congratulations and I cannot wait for your upcoming wedding. Here are some of my favorites!

Ewing-Plucinik Wedding!

I had the opportunity to shoot another wedding with La Brisa Photography this past Saturday. It was a gorgeous day outside. Not to mention a gorgeous church filled with amazingly fun people! They started the day out getting their hair and makeup done at Family Haircutters in Wamego.

There was even some time to sit down and read a story while waiting...

Their rings were absolutely gorgeous! Here are my favorite ring shots:

I love when brides and grooms decide to do a first look before the ceremony. They were both so excited to see each other...and I was even more excited to see them see each other for the first time on their wedding day. It also gave us ample time to take pictures!

Their ceremony was at the St Joseph Catholic Church in Flush. This church was built in 1900 and is absolutely gorgeous inside. It has amazing stained glass windows! This was a very special moment for Bethany...having her Dad walk her down the aisle...

This is the Maid of Honor, Alicia and her best friend Heather...aren't they gorgeous?

This cake was so gorgeous! Love the details and especially love the flowers on it.

I love that Jason and Bethany included so many things that were "them" I especially love that since their first date was at Baskin Robbins, they thought it would be special to have Baskin Robbins ice cream at their wedding. They had several flavors for guests to choose from...what a great idea!

First dance...

Mother's Day Present...Shh!

Recently the Lindhorst children asked me to take some pictures for their mother as her Mother's Day present...not that she had been asking for them or anything, but we did manage to arrange and take the pictures with out her knowing too many of the details :) Here is a quick preview of our picture taking outing, I will post more after Mother's Day

Fishing...

Friday night Tj and I decided to go fishing...it was beautiful out that evening. We even had a McDonald's picnic since he was in such a hurry to get out there! I took my camera along, but Tj didn't think it was a good idea to take it down by the river with me...so I just took along my handy dandy cell phone :) This is my favorite picture that I took for the evening...We didn't get any nibbles or any fish and it started to get cold, so we headed home and maybe next time we will have better luck!

Jordyn is 3 months already!

I just have to share pictures of adorable little Jordyn...she had just turned 3 months old. She was so easy going and just precious. Her Mom and Dad have to be proud parents of this little girl. I can't wait to see her grow! Thanks Jeremy and Krystal for letting me take Jordyn's 3 month pictures, before you know it she will be 6 months! Here are some of my favorites:

2011 Senior Rep Program

A.Staats Photography is looking for 2011 graduates that are interested in representing my business! I am looking for students that are interested in having their portraits taken early in exchange for print credits, discounts and cash.

By signing on to be a Senior Portrait Rep for A.Staats Photography you will be eligible to earn all sorts of great rewards. The more referrals you generate the greater your reward will be. Any students in the Wamego and Manhattan areas are eligible.

A.Staats Photography will select up to 2 students per school to participate in the program. Parental consent is required to participate and you must complete an application by April 30th. Once you have been chosen as a Senior Rep you will be photographed during May or June prior to your senior year. Within two weeks of your session, you will be able to preview your images and we will choose the best images for your Senior Rep cards and 5X5 session book.
