Tyler & Monica Engagement Pictures--July 12, 2009

After we finished the Manly family pictures, Monica, Tyler and I headed out to take some engagement pictures. Monica has been my best friend for many years and Tyler was my neighbor while growing up, so it was really fun to get to take their pictures. Other than the excessive heat and humidity, it was a great time! Since they met at Wamego High School that is where we started. We also went to Brown Chevrolet in Wamego, K-State campus and the train bridge. Congrats on being engaged and I can't wait for our next photo shoot! Here are some of my favorites from the day:

Manly Family--July 12, 2009

We had a rough start to the morning on July 12th, waking up to a lot of thunder, lightning, and rain....but it all cleared up so our session just started a little later in the morning than we had planned on. I took the Manly family's pictures at their house in Wamego. We even got the dogs in a couple of the pictures! I had a great time taking their pictures....they are very entertaining :). Jeremy & Krystal are Engaged!!!--July 3, 2009

Jeremy and Krystal asked me to take their engagement pictures and I happily agreed to! We decided to go to the train bridge and Pillsbury Crossing. I was a little worried when it started out rainy in the early morning, but by the time we got there the rain had stopped and we were ready to go. They were just so happy and laughed so much....it was a great time! Thank you Jeremy and Krystal for letting me take your engagment pictures and good luck in the future! APW V--June 28, 2009

Aspiring Photographer Workshop V was held Sunday, June 28th by Chris from La Brisa Photography (www.labrisaphotography.com). I was not able to stay the whole time, but had a great time while I was there! The location for this shoot was on the K-State campus. We had two sets of models this time. Kelli and Tyler had recently celebrated their 1 year anniversary. Meagan and Dalton were our other models and they are dating. It was really fun to get to use unique props like you see in the first picture! Here are several of my favorites from the evening:

Hudson Family--June 17, 2009

I have the pleasure to work with some amazing people at the Bennington State Bank...and they each have amazing families! Everytime I take pictures I hurry in with my laptop in hand or my camera because I am so excited to show them my pictures! Donna is one of the ladies that I work with and she had talked to her daughter, Julie, about my love of photography. Julie and I talked on Facebook about taking some pictures of her daughter, Maria. I was so excited to take them and we had a great time! Maria started off a little tired, but after a quick cat nap she was ready to go again! We started at the Wamego City Park and then headed over to Donna's house. Here are some of my favorites:

Bailey B Round 2--June 12, 2009

Bailey and I had such a great time taking pictures the first time, we thought we would go out again to check out some other locations! This time we went to Pillsbury Crossing, Cico Park, and Kansas State University Gardens. It was a little bit warmer and more humid out this time around, but we still got some great shots and had fun while doing it! Here are a couple of my favorites from the day:

Bailey B--June 5, 2009

Early on Friday morning, June 5th, Bailey and I went out to take some pictures! Bailey is a girl that I work with at the bank...and I talked her into modeling for some pictures. She picked out some of her favorite outfits, we made a list of places to go, and off we went! We started the morning off on the K-State campus, went to Aggieville, moved on to downtown Manhattan, and finally ended our morning at the train bridge. We had a great time and here are some of my favorite shots from the morning:

APW IV--May 4, 2009

Once again, May was awhile ago, but I want to include it anways! I went to APW IV hosted by Chris from La Brisa Photography (http://www.labrisaphotography.com/). This time it was in the evening in Manhattan. The Powers family members were our models for this workshop. Chris helped us with posing, lighting, and showed us a little on how he edits. He even shared some yummy cake with us!!! I had an amazing time...my favorite pictures from the evening are:

APW III-April 26, 2009

So, I know April was a little while ago, but I thought I would try to start from then to now with my pictures. Chris of La Brisa Photography (http://www.labrisaphotography.com/) has been hosting Aspiring Photographer Workshops and I attended my first one April 26th really early in the morning. This was his 3rd APW he hosted. We were shooting engagement pictures for Jacob and Amber, who are friends of his. We took the pictures at the train bridge in Manhattan, KS. It was a great morning of learning and fun! Here are a couple of my favorite pictures from that day:

Hi Everyone!

I will use this blog to keep everyone updated on my latest photography excursions and post my favorites!

A little bit about me....I am from Wamego, KS and have lived here all of my life. I am a junior at Kansas State University in Manhattan, majoring in accounting and finance with a minor in leadership studies. I work at The Bennington State Bank in Wamego and at Sears selling appliances on the weekend! I have an amazing boyfriend, Tj. We live in a little white house in Wamego.

In my "spare" time I like to take pictures, scrapbook, and watch movies. I like to read if I have the time, but only if it is a book that I get to choose.
